The Windmills of My Heart (Uplifting Story)

It seems that more and more of you are touched by my posts, and I’m so grateful for that.

Over the last couple of days, I’ve been driving a lot and while I travelling with my kids, I’m used to playing YouTube songs.

That’s when I bumped into him. His ability to make wonders with a couple of notes. His so perfect skill at creating everlasting vibration.

Then I listened and listened again to Les moulins de mon coeur, Les parapluies de Cherbourg, Peau d’Âne, The way we were…

Some say Michel Legrand wasn’t that friendly a character. Who cares! The majority of the very talented people wear a mask anyway.

Men come and go on the surface of our beautiful planet. Most of us attempt to leave something when time comes to say goodbye. Fortunately, often, the essence of our souls end up embedded in the hearts of our children, which enables us to go on living through them. However, on top of that, a group of happy few, have been blessed with the ability to offer the world an artistic legacy.

Where ever you are, what ever you do, just take a moment and listen to this pure moment of poetry. The following song has a duration fo three and a half minutes, but it’s emotional power will follow you for the rest of your day.

The windmills of my heart, song by Michel Legrand 1969.
